The difference between a standard non-locking Clinsert and the locking Clinsert is the locking feature.

Further, locking Clinserts include dry film lubrication on the surface to protect the screw from galling. In the middle of the locking Clinsert, there is one thread that is a bit smaller that enables the locking function.

Clinserts have a positive lock against rotation and vibration due to the installed Clins.

Both are install with the same installation instructions
