Clinserts

Clinserts are used in alloys, light materials, steel, and cast iron to enhance thread strength. They are also ideal for thread repair, allowing the replacement of damaged threads with the same nominal diameter.

Clinserts are typically made of stainless steel and come with 2 or 4 pre-assembled Clins, depending on the dimensions. Once installed, the Clins create a form-closed connection with the parent material, ensuring a secure fit. Note that thread gauge checks according to DIN standards are not possible in the area of the Clins.

The integrated Clins provide a positive lock, preventing rotation and vibration, making Clinserts highly effective for creating strong joints in low-strength materials. Common applications include transmission housings, electronic equipment, and suspension units.

Types of Clinserts

Clinserts are available in three main types:

  1. Miniature Clinserts
  2. Lightweight Clinserts
  3. Heavy-Duty Clinserts

Versions of Clinserts

Each type is offered in two versions:

  • Standard version: For general applications.
  • Locking version: Provides additional security against loosening.

Clinserts deliver reliable, high-performance solutions across a wide range of industrial applications.
