The CLEPT2 tool is designed for aerospace applications

The difference with the CLEPT1 is explained here below:

The better sensors are designed in the way that when you screw in the insert, there's a fast stop, to make sure the tool stops rather quick.

This ensures that there are no more “extra” revolutions so the sleeve doesn't get too tight too the parent material, but does have the correct depth. (which ensures that there are no marks on the parent material)

The motor of the CLEPT2 is also different and stronger than the CLEPT1.

New tool will install with less effort than the old tool.

You could use the CLEPT1 tool, but you’ll need to set a high torque to unscrew the nose piece, which causes discomfort to the operator.
