Questions:
I have some additional questions regarding the installation of bolts.
Answers:
The locking Clinserts are delivered with a dry film lubrification. This means that this will enhance the installation, however if you do a second bolt entry I would wax them.
I have though no recommendation of what you can use.
The tightening torque is not set, you can follow the typical curves of stainless steel polished fasteners
I would believe this is standard 1Nm when not lubricated for M3 bolts.
When lubricated it would be 0.9 Nm
Other recommendations against galling of stainless steel
An important thing though, you’re using a locking insert, which means you’ll need some extra torque, I would guess you will need to go up to 1.5Nm
I do not have these values though.
The Loosening torque will be dependent if it’s the first time that you unloosen or if it’s the 5th time.
Reason: the locking principle is with a deformed part of the material in the insert, this is a “semi”-controlled value, so will not be 100% the same on every locking insert.
This principle will cut also into the material of the bolt, and might damage the bolt, which creates extra torque required to unloosen.
